NMFS is opening directed fishing for northern rockfish in the
Western Regulatory Area of the Gulf of Alaska (GOA). This action is
necessary to fully use the 2008 total allowable catch (TAC) of northern
rockfish in the Western Regulatory Area of the GOA.
