Nuclear Management Company, LLC, Prairie Island Nuclear  Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2; Notice of Acceptance for]]></title>

</p><p>    The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the Commission) is 
considering an application for the renewal of Operating License Nos. 
DPR42 and DPR60, which authorize Nuclear Management Company (NMC), to 
operate Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2, 
respectively, at 1650 megawatts thermal for each unit. The renewed 
licenses would authorize the applicant to operate Units 1 and 2, for an 
additional 20 years beyond the period specified in the current 
licenses. The current operating licenses for Units 1 and 2, expire on  August 09, 2013, and October 29, 2014, respectively.</p><p>    NMC submitted the application dated April 11, 2008 and supplemented 
May 16, 2008, pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations 
CFR Part 54 (10 CFR Part 54), to renew Operating License Nos. DPR42 
and DPR60 for Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2, 
respectively. A Notice of Receipt and Availability of the license

  <title><![CDATA[
Biweekly Notice Applications and Amendments to Facility Operating  Licenses Involving No Significant Hazards]]></title>

  <description><![CDATA[ I. Background</p><p>    Pursuant to section 189a. (2) of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as 
amended (the Act), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the 
Commission or NRC staff) is publishing this regular biweekly notice. 
The Act requires the Commission publish notice of any amendments 
issued, or proposed to be issued and grants the Commission the 
authority to issue and make immediately effective any amendment to an 
operating license upon a determination by the Commission that such  amendment involves no significant hazards consideration, <br/>
notwithstanding the pendency before the Commission of a request for a  hearing from any person.</p><p>    This biweekly notice includes all notices of amendments issued, or 
proposed to be issued from May 22, 2008 to June 4, 2008. The last 
biweekly notice was published on June 3, 2008 (73 FR 31717).

Office of New Reactors; Notice of Availability of the Final  Interim Staff Guidance DC/COL-ISG-03 on Probabilistic Risk]]></title>

  <description><![CDATA[ The NRC is issuing its Final Interim Staff Guidance (ISG) DC/
COLISG03 (ADAMS Accession No. ML081430087). This ISG supplements the 
guidance provided to the staff in section 19.0, ``Probabilistic Risk 
Assessment and Severe Accident Evaluation for New Reactors,'' of NUREG
0800, ``Standard Review Plan for the Review of Safety Analysis Reports 
for Nuclear Power Plants,'' concerning the review of probabilistic risk 
assessment (PRA) information and severe accident assessment submitted 
to support design certification (DC) and combined license (COL)  applications.</p><p>    The NRC staff issues DC/COLISGs to facilitate timely 
implementation of the current staff guidance and to facilitate 
activities associated with review of applications for DC and COLs by 
the Office of New Reactors. The NRC staff will also incorporate the 
approved DC/COLISGs into the next revision to the review guidance  documents for new reactor applications.</p><p>    Disposition: On February 12, 2008, the staff issued the proposed

Entergy Nuclear Indian Point 2, Llc, Entergy Nuclear Indian Point  3, Llc, Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc.; Notice of]]></title>

</p><p>    The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted 
the request of Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (the licensee) to 
withdraw its March 13, 2007, application for proposed amendments to 
Facility Operating License No. DPR26 for Indian Point Nuclear 
Generating Unit No. 2 and Facility Operating License No. DPR64 for 
Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit No. 3, located in Westchester  County, New York.</p><p>    The proposed amendments would have revised the fire protection 
license conditions by removing the listing of dated Fire Protection 
Safety Evaluation Reports (SERs) contained within the licenses.
</p><p>    The Commission had previously issued a Notice of Consideration of 
Issuance of Amendment published in the Federal Register on April 10, 
2007 (72 FR 17947). However, by letter dated May 6, 2008, the licensee  withdrew the proposed change.</p><p>    For further details with respect to this action, see the
